Co-Regulation for CASA’s: How to Create Safety for Youth During Transitions

Learn about safety in this in-service training hosted by Colorado CASA.
In this presentation you will learn what safety is, what the threats to safety are, how to help create and maintain safety when interacting with youth, and how to help youth, and others involved in the youth’s life, to create a safe space within their environments. You will learn about the importance of the window of tolerance and co-regulation, and practice co-regulation activities that you and the youth can do together. Finally, you will learn how you can help prepare youth for transitions between these different environments.
