SUMMARY:CASA Book Club - July 2025
DESCRIPTION:The CASA Book Club will be meeting on Thursday\, July 17 at 7 pm at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Colorado Mills\, 14000 W. Colfax.  The store is located near Whole Foods.  \n\n\nThe movie we will watch and discuss is I am Somebody’s Child-the Regina Louise Story. (2019) The movie portrays a real-life story of a child who navigates 30 foster homes and psychiatric facilities by age 18.  \n\n\nThe movie is available on Prime.  \n\n\nWatch the movie and come prepared to discuss how the movie impacts your current or past cases and how we might apply concepts to our mission. Watching and coming to the meeting earns 3 hours of training credit.  \n\n\nNote that our CASA Book Club meets regularly every other month on the 3rd Thursday and alternates between books and movies related to foster care\, adoption and fulfilling the mission of the best interests of children.  \n\n\nContact Larry Varys with questions at larryvarys@aol.com.
