2026 Volunteers of the Month
Exceptional Dedication
Since being sworn in as a CASA volunteer in December 2020, Blair has demonstrated exceptional dedication and advocacy for the children and families she serves. She took on her first case at the start of 2021 and has since advocated on five cases, with her most recent case successfully closing to a parent in February 2026.
Blair is known for her consistency, reliability, and thoughtful communication with families. Her court reports and presentations reflect strong advocacy skills and a deep understanding of each child’s needs, ensuring their voices are heard throughout the court process.
One of Blair’s greatest strengths is her ability to adapt when circumstances require creativity. When in-person visits were not possible, she embraced virtual visits over Zoom and made the most of every interaction, while continuing to ensure the child’s needs remained the priority.
Her advocate supervisor says she especially appreciates Blair’s thorough and helpful updates, which consistently provide valuable insight into her cases and the progress of the families she serves.
After years of back-to-back cases and unwavering commitment to CASA, Blair is currently taking a well-earned break from active advocacy. We are incredibly grateful for the impact she has made on so many children and families and look forward to welcoming her back to a case when she is ready.

Blair in Her Own Words
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I live in Arvada, CO with my husband and two rescue pups. I have been in Colorado for 10 years and love to explore all the mountains have to offer. I am a book nerd so if you’d like a recommendation, prepare for an intense conversation.
What inspired you to become a CASA?
A work colleague of mine had mentioned her experience volunteering with Denver CASA in 2020. During those crazy times, I was looking for ways to give back. I had never heard of CASA but after doing some research I decided it was something that really interested me. I had a great (and virtual) training experience and have really enjoyed every one I have had the pleasure of working with.
What helps you overcome the hard moments of being an advocate?
What helps me overcome the hard moments is remembering why I chose to become an advocate in the first place. Even when progress is slow or situations are heartbreaking, I remind myself that simply being a consistent, reliable presence in a child’s life can make a meaningful difference.
Can you tell us about a proud moment you had volunteering?
One of my proudest moments was with a child who had experienced a lot of instability and frequent moves. I was able to be one consistent person in their life, and it was really rewarding to see them look forward to our visits. Knowing they felt comfortable with me and had someone they could rely on made me feel like I was making a real difference, even in a small way.
What would you say to someone who is thinking about becoming a volunteer?
I’d encourage them to do it if they have the time and heart for it. It’s not always easy, but knowing you’ve helped ensure a child’s voice is heard and their best interests are represented makes the effort worthwhile.
