Child Sex Offenders Internet Investigations – CHEEZO
Thursday, May 8th, 5:30-6:30pm – Jefferson County Courthouse, Faye Griffith Conference Room
100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO 80401
The Child Sex Offender Internet Investigations Unit, known as Cheezo, is at the forefront of the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to ensure the safety of our children. Predators use the internet as a gateway to victims because of the anonymity and the ability to lure children with minimal detection and apprehension. This same anonymity is capitalized upon by highly trained Cheezo investigators who portray themselves as teenagers online where adults seek victims for sexual purposes.
